Step 2 – Locate the DPF. DPFs vary slightly in size, shape and colour but will generally consist of a widened section of exhaust tube and will be located close to the engine, underneath the car. Step 3 – Remove bolts and screws. Take a minute to study the exact positioning of the DPF so that you know precisely where to fit the new one.
Motory 2,0 TDI zvyknú mať problémy s rozvodmi, konkrétne s napínakom. Pri 1,6 TDI a 2,0 TDI pozor aj na vodnú pumpu. 1,4 TSI zvykne mať problémy s tesnením pod vodným čerpadlom. Na druhej strane katalyzátory a DPF filtre sa javia ako tie viac trvácne na dnešné pomery.

Dpf's aren't something that become a common fault they just get clogged up by drivers not knowing how they have to drive their vehicle in such a way for it to not get blocked. The more you drive around doing low revs so like 1000-1500 rpm the more it is going to get clogged up as these revs don't give a high enough temperature to burn off the soot.
I got the DPF out and the egr cooler and all of that fun stuff. BUT!!!! I can't find the egr valve.. Which is weird unless it's the egr cooler. Here are some pics of my progress.
