Onmy 2010 Audi Q7 3.0 TDI (basically the same engine as the Touareg) I was able to get the tube all the way down to the bottom of the pan. $500 AU is about $365 US. A simple 3.0L TDI oil & filter change runs about $100 US at my dealer. Your dealer must have been quoting a full interval service. In spite of everything, I still like Volkswagens.
